If you’ve got maximum productivity in mind, the 544K Loader should be at the top of your list. But it’s not just the big torque reserves that makes it such an impressive performer. Single-level joystick or two-lever fingertip controls provide smooth, near-effortless control. Excavator-style hydraulics sense the load and deliver the flow needed for smooth combined functions and fast work cycles. You won’t find a smoother shifting loader, either. The PowerShift™ torque-converter transmission employs SmartShift™ technology to continuously evaluate speed and load conditions, and adjusts clutch-pack engagement to suit.

  • Automatic, wet-disc, spring-applied, hydraulic-released parking brake engages upon engine shutdown.
  • Controls and Steering - ; Controls are integrated into the seat for improved operator interface, controllability, and reduced fatigue.; Choose from single-lever joystick or two-lever pilot-operated hydraulic controls. Joystick FNR selector provides convenient direction and full-range gear changes. Both include innovative quick-shift feature for push-button gear changes, one gear at a time. ; Speed-sensitive, low-effort joystick steering reduces operator fatigue and increases productivity. Joystick steering is ideal for V-pattern truck loading. Offering fatigue-beating comfort, it adapts to ground speed, delivering smooth control for load-and-carry application, as well.
  • Engine - ; The EPA IT4-certified engine provides the same horsepower and torque as that of a Tier 3 engine. The IT4 engine utilizes an automatic regeneration process which periodically cleans the filter without impacting machine productivity. ; The cooled exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) technology is simple, fuel efficient, field proven, fully integrated, and fully supported. It features a diesel particulate filter (DPF) and diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) to reduce particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxides. The DPF traps particulate matter and ash. The DPF service interval is 5,000 hours.
  • Exclusive cycle counter helps operators manage material quantities via the monitor. Keeps track of up to five materials.
  • Hydraulics - ; Excavator-style hydraulics sense the load and deliver the flow needed for smooth, combined functions and fast work cycles. ; The in-tank filter with large element traps that hold contamination allow for cleaner oil, a cleaner hydraulic system, and less maintenance. Service intervals are extended to 4,000 hours. The hydraulic filter is a common part for the 444K—844K.; Easily accessible hydraulic diagnostic ports enable quick pressure checks and minimize the possibility of introducing contaminants.
  • Improved Cab - ; Spacious cab provides plenty of room to stow your stuff, including a cooler compartment and beverage holder. ; Cab noise has been noticeably reduced for decreased operator fatigue. ; Brake and throttle pedals have been repositioned and the front console redesigned to make way for more legroom, comfort, and visibility. ; Standard air-ride armchair seat adjusts multiple ways for extra comfort and cushioning over rough terrain. An embedded payload scale lets you monitor each bucket weight.; Simple, easy-to-use payload weighing, powered Loadrite™ technology, is integrated into the LCD color monitor and is available factory- or field-installed for Z-Bar and High-Lift machines. ; Rear camera with radar object detection will alert the operator of any object that is in a direct path with the loader while backing up.
  • Quad-Cool - ; Quad-Cool™ places the radiator, air-conditioner condenser, intercooler, and hydraulic, transmission, and optional axle coolers in a unique boxed bulk head configuration that's isolated from engine heat. The system utilizes large, three-mm perforated side shields to pre-screen the air and decrease air velocity to minimize debris ingestion.; Swing-out, hydraulically driven, proportional fan provides unmatched access and minimizes engine load and fuel consumption by turning only as fast as necessary. ; Unique Quad-Cool system provides wide-open access to both sides of the coolers for easy clean-out.; For heavy airborne-debris applications, the optional reversing fan back-blows the cooling system at 120-percent fan speed at programmable increments from 20–40 minutes to keep things running clean and cool.   • Sealed-Switch Module - ; Eliminates all standard rocker switches and provides one central location with backlit and ergonomically friendly push buttons for all loader features.; Keyless start is standard equipment on K-Series models — pushing the green button on the sealed-switch module starts the engine.; The security function requires a code to be entered at engine startup. Owner, operator, and transport codes are set via the monitor. The security function can be turned off for customers if desired.
